Filming the new series of 60MM and we need more homes to makeover

Monday, April 21st, 2008

Hello,

How’s things going? All good I hope.

Well, we’ve started filming the new series of 60mm and its going really well just very cold! Last year we had to deal with the rain and this year… well, where is summer? Are we going to get one?

If you thought the series you’re watching now was moving wait until you see the new run. I always walk away from the houses counting my blessing that I have my family and my health and happiness. Its incredible what life throws at some people; it always amazes me where people get their strength from and I’ve had my far share of pain and suffering! Not quite in the league of some of the contributors, but lets say I’m no stranger to it. I hope these people become as much as an inspiration to you as they have me.

We are still looking for people for surprise makeovers. If you know somebody that has been through a tough time and doesn’t have the time or money to makeover their home please contact the ITV website and nominate them. YOU CAN NOT DO THAT ON THIS SITE but here’s the address - itv.com

If you find that we are doing a makeover near you do come down and say hello!

And finally a big thank you to everyone that’s watching the new series, it’s going down well but as always I’d love to hear any comments good or bad on ways to improve.

Thank you for all your comments so far.

Bye for now.
Love me.x

A catch up plus do you want to be on the next series of 60MM?

Hello there,

Its been quite a long time! Well in fact I’ve been quite rubbish - sorry for that.

I’m just about to start filming on the new series of 60mm and so I’ve been spending some much needed time at home with my family. I do however think its harder at home playing wife and Mummy than it is doing the makeovers! Not that I’m complaining; I loving being at home but I do enjoy my job too. I guess it take up such a large part of our life its probably best to try and work in something you do enjoy. I know that’s not always possible, but life is too short to be unhappy. A lesson I learnt after the death of both my parents I guess.

The new series (obviously not the one I’m just about to start filming - that’s for end of this year beginning of 2009) is due to go out on Monday 24th March at it’s usual time of 2pm. They’ll be showing repeats on Fri just to warm the slot up then we kick off on Monday. Please do get in touch and let me know what you think. Your feedback is very important so any suggestions you feel you want to make (good or bad) on how we can improve the show then get in touch. Even if you just want to have a moan about how much certain things annoy you then come on.

As I’ve said, we’re just about to start filming but we are now looking for people to do the makeovers for. Do you know anyone who you think deserves a makeover? It really does have to be life changing. If they have the money or the time then they’re not really the people we’re looking for. Please do not contact this site as unfortunately its not down to me - which is a good thing because I’d want to give you all one! You need to get onto the ITV website at itv.com. Good luck!

We’re also looking to redesign the website and adding new pictures so watch this space.

Thats enough from me for now.
xx

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!

How was your Christmas? Did Santa bring you everything you wished for? I had flu 2 weeks before Christmas and I don’t mean just a very bad cold! I was in bed (very unlike me) Mon-Fri and on the Tues night I really thought I needed the hospital. (I know I’m an actress but I swear I’m not being dramatic!) I just laid there from 2am crying (also not like me) the first and I hope the only time I’ve ever had proper flu. Consequently it put my Christmas preparation slightly behind. I was gutted, I’d been so organised starting my present shopping in the summer and what for??? To still be wrapping presents and running around the shops on Christmas Eve.

A side that it was just great! I had a very drunken night out with Nick Pickard (plays Tony in Hollyoaks) and Jimmy McKenna (plays my Dad). I still keep in touch with them and we’d been trying to get a night out together for quite some time and we finally did it over Christmas and boy did we make up for lost time! It was such fun! I think they poured me into a cab about 4.30 in the morning… naughty!

We spent Christmas day at my mother-in-laws which is a family tradition and one that I love. Sadly as both my parents have died I usually find this time of the year difficult. But because I get on so well with my husbands family, it definitely helps! Boxing Day we have everyone over to us where I cook Christmas dinner - 15 people this year! Then at New Year we went down to my sisters in Lincolnshire for a party. I’m knackered! I now need a holiday to recover and some serious detoxing!

Slowly getting back to normal now and trying to get back to work. Hope if this is your first day back that it’s not too bad.

60 Minute Makeover is now off your screens until some time around Easter, I’ll confirm the exact date when I get it. We should also find out very soon if we’ll be making any more so check this site out for an update.

As I didn’t do a December update I’ll try and do another one at the end of Jan or before if I have any news!

Ta ta for now.

Love me. xxxx
