It's not really possible for the 60MM team to do work on rented or council properties since the owners of the property would have to be consulted and as you can imagine this would mean those getting the makeover would have to be aware so that they could seek the permission of their landlord. This completely goes against the whole point of 60MM being a surprise and as such you're unlikely to see those that are "less fortunate" on the show. I don't work on the show so I couldn't comment about the furniture that's "thrown out", but I imagine it is skipped. Like you say, perhaps some of the old stuff could be recycled by others in need. I had a daughter in january 2006 and have really struggled with motherhood and i identified with everything you said. I wanted to be the perfect mother and i have only recently begun to realise there is no such thing. I suppose i really want to thank you because in my lowest hours all i kept reading about was celebrities that think motherhood was wonderful and had made them feel complete and all that made me feel was that i was obviusly doing something wrong. It was like a breath of fresh air to read about someone who would admit what bloody hard work it is!! I would never normally do anything like this, as you can probably tell from me posting it in the wrong place, but i just can't express what your article meant to me.
